Iran Claims Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, During Widespread Military Operations.
Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed strikes across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing assault targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area in the area of the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any damage is uncertain and the US has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - said they have shot down incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That US-Israeli operation - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on locations linked to the the regime, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the regime.

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with great effectiveness and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported debris landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some structural damage and killing a civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
