Wilfried Nancy declared he had no concerns about losing his job, maintaining, “The team is extremely close to changing our fortunes,” in the wake of sliding worryingly close to being fired with a heavy loss to Rangers.

A Second-Half Capitulation Results in Old Firm Loss

Celtic were ahead Rangers at half-time but a second-half capitulation allowed Rangers to move level on points with the defending Scottish Premiership champions. Nancy, who was hired from Columbus Crew, has now overseen six defeats in his last eight fixtures.

The victorious boss played down talk of a serious challenge despite what felt like a huge result. “One match at a time, then we can gradually build momentum,” he said. “The faith in the squad is excellent.”
